Starting Fresh, With a Newly Painted Room...

My daughter is three and a half years old. What does that mean? Well, if she were a little shorter, not much. However, she is in the 98th percentile for her height, so that means that she's just about grown out of her toddler bed. Grandma was nice enough to purchase her a brand new twin bed. It's a beautiful cream, off-white color. She also has a new quilt with pretty pink flowers on it. When we moved into this house, and before my daughter was born, my husband was handy enough to put up beautiful chair railing, which was painted a bright white. Her walls are a bright yellow. Well...that's not going to cut it with the new bed. Cream against a wall of Aspen white isn't exactly very appealing. When I told my daughter I was going to paint her room, she was quick to offer up some ideas. "Purple" she said..."Purple AND pink." Then, the following week, she wanted blue. Now, she's back to pink. I ran out as fast as I could to buy the paint before she changed her mind again. Pink it is. Pink walls, with a cream-colored chair railing.
